Easy Casual

Uh oh!  I dropped my camera.  Thank goodness I have a warranty....except its going to take 2 to 4 weeks to get it back!  I have to leave for Indianapolis for the new job before then, so it looks like I'm buying a back up.  It was not my good DSLR thankfully, but my Nikon coolpix which goes everywhere with me.  I think I'll make a trip to best buy tomorrow and be back to posting outfits in a day or two.

In the meantime...this is a very close facsimile of the outfit I wore today; denim skinnies, a white button down, coral cardigan and accessories.  The necklace is the only thing that doesn't represent a piece that I wore, but I did wear one with the same colors as this one.

I've been trying out more casual looks a couple times a week; this is something I'm not in the habit of doing, but since I found skinnies that work I'm having fun with it!  The right skinnies feel a bit more dressed up to me than boot cut.

Speaking of 'boot cut', I really can't wait to get my camera back so I can share my gorgeous, funky new cowboy boots with you.  I plan to wear them with skirts and to have them for the next ten years...next post!  A little teaser....they are inspired by boots I saw Nancy Wilson of band Heart wearing 20 years ago!

  5. Hi Lisa,
Sorry to hear you dropped your camera - glad it wasn't your DSLR. Mine got knocked off a chest of drawers by our cats about a year ago ... I was so heartbroken, thankfully its insured.

  7. You really could be a stylist, dear Lisa, every outfit you wear (or create) is classic, chic and beautiful. I really like the punch of vibrant peachy-tangerine from the cardi in this look - it makes me think of a gorgeous summer sunrise.

  8. Oh no, that's awful about your camera! I just did the same thing and broke the lens on mine and yes, it sad how long it takes for them to be repaired.) I'm glad it wasn't your nice camera though, that really would have been tragic!

And I'm really excited to see these cowboy boots! I've always loved Heart so I'm trying to think back to what these boots looked like.
