Mondays are very long days.
I drop my son off for school in the mornings, run some errands and then head to the school to teach my class. I have a few hours to do some research or complete some work and then I have a 2 hour class (student this time). I have an hour break and then a three hour class (student again) that ends at 9 pm. I have a 50 minute drive each way, to and from school.
This picture cracks me up...Peyton caught me as I was leaving on Monday morning...its such a long day that I have to carry so many bags! Two lunch bags and two school bags...to have all that I need from day into evening. I look like such a dork!
I packed healthy food today! I'm trying to choose better foods...but I still struggle on campus...there is so much junk readily available and not enough healthy choices.
I packed everything in my 'tall Bento' which looks like a thermos, but has 4 stacked inner containers that keep the food in one of the special containers warm and the top 2 containers cold.
Today's outfit....I had only a moment to snap a preview outfit to see if I looked ok....I do love this yellow Talbots cotton sweater that I thrifted...
Tomorrow is my last work day. I'm really happy about that. I hope to dance on Friday and blow off some steam. I have less homework this weekend....but still too much.
Have a great day everyone!
Wow that is a long day. I love the picture of you with all the bags - you looks so ready for anything and stylish too.
ReplyDeleteThe shade of yellow on the Talbot's sweater is lovely.
Take it easy for the rest of the week.
Thank you! I think the bag picture is hilarious!!
DeleteWhoa! It's like the day that never ends! Love your 'bag lady' picture! That's sure a lot to carry with you!
ReplyDeleteIt is the day that never ends. It's pretty exhausting...the upside of that is that I only have to be at the school on Mon,Tues,Weds! Still have to do work from home..but at least I'm at home!
DeleteThat is a long day! Love the photo Peyton took of you. Tis the life of a busy working mom :) Your red shoes are great!
ReplyDeleteThank you....yep, its a mom's day, isn't it.
DeleteOh my gosh, I saw nothing but the awesome red shoes. Dance shoes??
ReplyDeleteTanya.....thank you; they aren't dance shoes. They're my favorite pair of shoes ever and they are from Nine West. I would not do very well if I tried to dance in them!
DeleteVery long day! It looks like you are fully prepared:) Great fall outfit!

Thank you Joanna!
DeleteI want your shoes! Do they date others or are they in a committed relationship to you?
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! My shoes and I have quite a jealous relationship!
DeleteOh, please post a pic of your bento! I love bento boxes.
ReplyDeleteI will Freeda...I love them too. I have the Tall Bento...have you heard of that one?
DeleteThose necklaces are amazing, both of them ! I hope you got trough your monday okay, I'm exhausted just reading about it haha !

Thank you Marie-Eve....Monday's are tough...but now that I'm done teaching today....I have the rest of the week off...except for all the papers I have to write, to grade and read!
DeleteI would say comfort first on long and complicated days! I love that first necklace you pictured.
ReplyDeleteBoth outfits are so elegantly, cozy, and beautiful. I especially love the palette of the first (nothing lackluster about it in the least!) and that enchantingly pretty necklace (*jewelry swoon!*).

Thanks, Jessica. I receive many compliments on that first necklace when I wear it; the person who gave it to me made it.
DeleteWhew, that is a pretty crazy day! I remember how hard it was trying to eat healthy on campus, that junk food is everywhere and those apples in the basket on the counter just never look as yummy as the curly fries do. :P
ReplyDeleteThat talbots sweater is just stunning on you, cream is such a classic color, it makes any outfit look so chic. I really like the little pop of blue in your necklace!
Thanks, Katie. There is never any good food on campus. Well, they do have the apples...and they never looks all that appealing, plus it seems outrageous to pay a dollar for one little apple!
DeleteI fell in love with the Talbot's sweater!
Your accessories collection is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think having plenty of accessories helps a wardrobe go a looonnnggg way. Thank you; I do love the special pieces that I have....
