My outfit today is 75% thrifted!
The beautiful Italian leather jacket is thrifted. The boots, tights and 'necklace' (see below) are not thrifted.
I'm saying prayers and hoping that it will be over soon and that those who live in Sandy's path will be safe.
......but this is what it really looks like; I had to get creative today. I didn't have any of the silver chunky jewelry I wanted to wear with this dress, so I flipped the bracelet....it was pretty enough to wear as a cuff!
Tight pattern detail.
This is 'Peyton's' dog...Lucas Rufus McScruff.....he's a little love bug!
STAY SAFE EVERYONE!!!!!
Gorgeous ... I'm envious of your leather jacket. Peyton has such a cute face ... just makes me wanna snuggle him.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wendy.....I got lucky with the jacket.
DeleteOoops, I mean Lucas Rufus ... but I'm sure Peyton is just as snuggleable ;-)
ReplyDeleteHahaha...that's funny, Wendy. They are both snuggle able!
DeleteOoooh, it's that gorgeous leather jacket you thrifted! It's such a stunning coat, I love the longer length. What a great idea, changing your jewelry around like that, I would have never guessed that your chain necklace is actually a belt! The monotone color scheme is lovely, the patterned tights add a great little bit of visual interest.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katie. I'm enjoying being a little more creative with my outfits. I used to be a 'black trousers and turtleneck' kind of dresser.
DeleteThe queen of thrifting hits again! :-) You look lovely as always and your doggy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHahaha...thank you. I am the reason why no one in this area can find good stuff; I get it all. Just kidding!
DeleteMy pup is a very sweet and cute guy!
Love the idea of wearing your belt as a necklace! I should try that. The puppy is adorable! Heather
ReplyDeleteThe belt/necklace was a last minute inspiration. Thank you!
Deleteyou look fabulous,as usual.I love the idea of flipping the bracelet.
ReplyDeleteand your necklace AKA belt, I would have never thought of that...of course, if I wore one of my belts, I'd have to double or triple it. LOL
have a great day!
Linda, you are so funny!
DeleteOh my.. Can Peyton be any cuter? NO.
ReplyDeleteAnd you look so stylish.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Aren't you glad for a bit of cold weather....FINALLY! :) It was a long hot summer in my neck of the woods! I know that your outfit is mostly thrited, but you know what? You look like you could have come out of an Ann Taylor store! Gorgeous and classic! Hugs my friend! ~Serene
ReplyDeleteThank you Serene! I've been reading your blog for a bit now...but you disappeared for a bit. I'm glad you're back.
DeleteI love your creative use of your accessories... belt as necklace, reversing the cuff! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you...it was a necessity!
DeleteThat dog photo and your comment totally cracked me up! He's so good with the camera when you're not looking. What kind of breed is that?
ReplyDeleteYou scored on that leather coat. I love going through the leather at thrift stores.
Sometimes there are really good leathers at the Goodwill!
DeleteWhoa, the boots really bring the entire look together. I don't the remnants of Sandy have hit us yet, if they're going to.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri....I'm loving boots this year!
DeleteYou rock at Thrifting! Can you take me thrifting with you so I can save some $$$. I did the same thing with a necklace the other day - flipping it to wear the other side...I love jewelry that you get 2 looks for the price of 1!

DeleteWhat awesome finds! You look like you spent a lot of time and money on this outfit, and you even admitted your secret! Way to go! I'd brag if I were you, say you spent all that money, and see how people react!
