PINK!

Today, I'm working backwards with my outfits...starting at the end of my day instead of the beginning.Tonight, I attended a 'pink power' Mary Kay meeting....
Many of you may have noticed that I recently became a Mary Kay consultant.  I know...kind of crazy to do both MK and LS...and school, my research assistantship, my thesis and on and on...
but I am.  It's fun and I'm having a great time with it.
I thought it might be fun to wear PINK tonight!
I rarely wear this New York and Co skirt, but that's going to change because I love it!  So fun to wear.  I paired it with a thrifted animal print top, belt and fun scarf that I purchased from a crafter.

Love the frothy, pink, fun-ness of this scarf!

I also toned down the jewelry tonight and let the outfit shine. I chose these simple LS hematite colored hoops ('Coy' earrings) and the same bangles I wore Friday to the studio.

Earlier in the day, I went 'job shopping'.  I took my resume to a couple of social service agencies and filled out some applications.  I dressed very neutrally.  The only hint of personality in this outfit was a fairly bold statement necklace.

I've posted this numerous times in the past, because I wear it often.  This 'Cabana' necklace was 'retired' last summer...but its still working hard in my wardrobe.

I also chose to wear only three bangles...I just didn't think it would be good to job hunt with an armful of noisy, jangling, bangles.

It was a busy day, but it was productive and fun.

Tomorrow I will meet with my friend Rose, have lunch and then do a color consult for her.  I'm looking forward to it!!

Now.....

Let's move on to the weekend shall we?
Oh....wait...I'm on spring break...
Let's drag this week out as long as we can, shall we?
;)

  8. Mary Kay is a really great brand. That was the first not sold in drug store brand that I used when I started on my quest to clear up my acne. It worked for a while, but with most products, my skin got used to it and I had to find something else.I think it helps when you have something to fill up your time like that. I think if I did, I would be less inclined to sprawl out infront of the television or chat on the phone if I knew I only had a certain amount of time to use to address my personal projects. (-:

    1. I agree; they are a great brand.
I started selling it just because I love the product. Then my consultant suggested that I might enjoy selling it...and I do.
Sometimes, I overfill my time, which is why I'm having a hard time motivating myself to do the research work I need to do over spring break.
I don't watch much TV..but Dancing with the Stars starts on Monday...so I will be sprawled in front of the TV, irritating my husband!

    1. It is fun to wear, Lyddie. I have a bright tangerine one exactly like the pink one and I can't wait to wear it...although I think it will be more challenging to style.

  14. How awesome that you're sporting pink again (the raspberry top the other day was so gorgeous on you, as is this punchy, cheerful carnation hued skirt), it's my favourite colour ever and I never tire of wearing it or seeing it on my favourite fashion bloggers.
