A Couple Black and White Outfits

It as taken some time, but I'm finally getting back into the swing of things since the competition.
I've had catching up to do.
Once more class this week, then spring break!
I'll have much to do to stay on track over the break but I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm definitely going to be calling on my lunch ladies!

I've blogged this sweater dress before, but its such a great dress that I can't resist wearing it often before I have to put it away for spring and summer.

Yesterday....I paired it with these Sofft pumps.  Love the vintage-y styling.

....and I added this Lia Sophia 'Curio' necklace...

...and these 'brocade' bracelets to keep the vintage inspired theme.

Today, I stayed with my beloved black and white.  Its snowing today and we are expected to get 6-8 inches...so I threw on my fleece tights...

....some pretty accessories to add color...(Lisa Sophia retired necklace 'Chimera')

...Lia Sophia 'For You' gold bangle bracelet set and added the retired 'Swiss Dots' turquoise and gold stretch bracelet and the beautiful jade bangle I purchased at my favorite consignment shop (on sale!).  Have I told you before how much I love my Lia Sophia?  Oh, and this jade bracelet, too.

...early in the day I had layered two necklaces, but didn't like the look so I removed one and replaced it with my favorite zebra scarf.

....these flat boots are so comfortable.  I feel warm, casual, comfy and cute in this outfit.

....my shopping ban is going OK.  I could be doing better than I am, but I am doing better than I have in the past.  I did however HAVE to purchase these Cole Haan Nike Air pumps from Marshall's.  They were the only pair in the store at were priced at an unbelievable $19.99.
They original retail price was $179.00
How could I pass them up?

My photographer requested that I post this photo of him.  He say to tell all of you "Hi".  ;)

One of the studios that I go to for dance parties has had a new mural painted on one of their brick walls and it is fabulous.  Take a look and enjoy.  I'm going to have to find the name of the artist.....

Isn't this beautiful work?

I hope your week is off to a good start....like me I'm sure you are looking forward to the weekend.
Please be safe..
and thank you for reading.

Lisa

    1. Thank you Heather. The only way I could afford this jewelry is by being a LS advisor and getting the HUGE discount on samples.
I hope you don't get too much snow!

    1. Joanna.....my son says the same thing. He used to be into MineCraft but we put and end to that....I just didn't like how much time he was spending on games, so we set strict limits. No video games until the weekend.

  8. All your Lia Sophia jewelry is just perfect touch to your outfits!!! Love that your son wanted to have his picture on the blog - he's so handsome!

Just curious - are you going to school or are you a teacher?

    1. HI Alice.

I am working on my master of science in human development with a heavy focus on administration and research. I work at the school as a Graduate Teaching assistant, which means I teach undergrads, get paid for it and get my tuition paid for.

      Thank you for the compliment!

  11. You look warm, choosy and still chic! I wish the grey dress had a twin that lived in my wardrobe, I would definitely let her out often too! Yes, I do long for the weekend, and keep my fingers crossed that I will get everything on my to-do-list done before, so I don't need to work.

    1. I have so much on my to-do list and I feel like I'm just dragging my feet. Spring break begins Friday and I'm so ready to have some freedom, but I have to perfect questions for my survey for my thesis (so hard!); do some research for my assistantship and lots of other things. :(

    2. Yes, questions are indeed very important, but I am sure that you can make it. Speaking about questions I just nominated you for the Liebster Award? You are indeed one of my favorite bloggers, and I think you deserves even more followers! Of course it’s all up to you if you want to participate or not, but I do hope you will!

    3. Thank you! That is very sweet of you. I will participate...but I will have to do so after tomorrow. I have to do some work on one more class before this much awaited spring break!
You are also one of my favorite bloggers!

    1. Thank you. I'm so obsessed with black/white and black/cream, but need to add a bit of color. The accessories really help!
The boots are really comfortable. They don't get as much wear as they should because they are flat....and I so often choose heels first..but I think I'll squeeze in a couple more wearings soon!

    1. Thank you. I am a little obsessed with Lia Sophia jewelry....its a good thing I'm an advisor so I get a really generous discount! Without that, my collection would be so much smaller and not as pretty.

    1. Hi Lyddie. They are comfortable, but this particular pair is not any more comfortable than a regular pair of well made, properly fitting shoes. They are very well made...all leather including the soles. I don't notice a 'nike air' difference though.
