Feeling lavender and girly!

I feel so girly in lavender.

I have posted this cardigan in the past and I really love wearing it...its as if the color has 'color therapy' powers..it makes me feel instantly fresh and pretty and happy.
The cardigan is Eddie Bauer and was thrifted.  The hat, purchased at The Closet Exchange.  Pants, New York and Company, top...very old boyfriend sweater.  Necklace.........

....you got it....Lia Sophia.  Its a retired piece. A former advisor had some supplies and jewelry to sell and I purchased some of her things...I wanted to have a few retired pieces as booking gifts, but I had to keep this one!

....I didn't post the outfit that I wore with these boots because it really didn't look very flattering, but I had to share the boots with you.  These are Frey boots.  I had a pair this color when when I was a teen and loved them.  I wore them everywhere and thought I was really cool. And then I got rid of them.  A few days ago, I found this pair..with metal studs on the shaft at T.J. Maxx and fell in love.  Its funny; my cousin Rhonda had a pair just like my old pair!!!  Rhonda and I did have similar interests as teenagers...we both liked David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman, but not Donny Osmond.
We both read Tiger Beat and FaVE magazines as teens...and had our celebrity husbands chosen. (David Cassidy all the way).

We swooned over the boys.  Now I swoon over things like this:

and this pretty Art Deco necklace by Lia Sophia.  Can't wait to wear it!!  Yep, I ordered it.

oh.....and I swoon over this beautiful bedroom!

See, the girlie theme reigns!

Good night, my friends...tonight its early bed time for me.  I'm wishing you all sweet dreams in your own version of the swoon worthy dream bed!

    1. I never used to love it.....but then I had never considered it with black. It doesn't look so pastel-y and from-frou and washed out with black...so now I love it!

  2. Looking lovely in lavender, my dear. I don't think I own anything in that color. The necklace is very pretty with it.

I love the photo of that bedroom too! And the headboard on the first one--oh my word! It is great.

  3. I do love all that sleek black paired with such a pretty cardi. Your Lia Sophia necklace is lovely. I only own one piece of Lia Sophia from a neighbor's party, but it's a convertible necklace, and I wear it frequently.

    1. This was the only pair that my local TJ Maxx had, but they had many other high end brands...including the most awesome pair of Uggs that were not in my size :(

    1. Hi Sheila, I didn't think I could wear lavender....but I do really like it paired with black because its not so pastel and sickly sweet.

Thank you for the compliment on the boots...they were kind of a blast from the past.

  10. Lovely lovely in lavender Lisa :-)

I love how peoples tastes and style change and twist ... and sometimes things we thought we'd never love suddenly steal our hearts ... I was always rather against romantic style bedrooms and right now there are a number of items I'd love to take out of the bedroom pictures you posted.

    Swoon.

The boots and necklace are quite delightful as well.

  11. Lavender looks so wonderfully pretty on you. Some shades look okay on me, others tend to wash out my colouring, but I love it all the same either way (in fact, come to think of it, I have lilac hued Essie brand nail polish on my toenails right now).

Wishing you a gorgeous week ahead, dear Lisa!
