This is My Casual

This is what I might wear to a high school football game or to a fall festival or to a night at the pumpkin patch for a hay ride.  I love the grey trousers, but might change them to a grey jean with the same flattering bootcut.  A white button down shirt or long sleeve tee shirt and a warm colorful scarf looks great with the grey.  I own a beautiful, sturdy pair of Clark brogue style shoes with a slightly chunkier heel than the ones pictured so they are more practical and every bit as stylish.

(I don't own a gold locket, but have wanted one since I was a child...hmmmm...maybe I need to get hubby on that!  My husband doesn't ever buy gifts to surprise me and I don't ask him to since he has been very generous by paying for the majority of my dance lessons and the pink and green ballroom gowns that I own. His generosity with my ballroom obsession is one of the many reasons that I thrift most of my clothing). This is My Casual
A black cross body purse, black belt and dark brown leather jacket finish the look nicely.

I included the Vera Bradly 'Safari Sunset' stadium blanket, because fall evenings get cold.  I purchased this blanket today at a consignment shop for $20.00 brand new with tags still attached!  I love Vera prints, but I don't like to carry fabric bags, so I get my pattern fix with this.

I know this looks a bit too dressy to be casual for some people, but to me, this is my casual.

  4. I love that look especially the jacket.
By the way, a Mac is short for Mackintosh. The Mackintosh is a form of waterproof raincoat, first sold in 1824 and named after its Scottish inventor!

  5. Totally my idea of casual... love the entire look. I have a gold locket that my ex bought me, I don't wear it often ... but my daughter used it as a teether ... so it now has little tooth indents on the back of it. Makes it rather special.
