Catch up and.....OH! Dinner with Tiffany!

It's been busy and hectic these last couple of weeks.  Things are bitter and sweet; my poor mommy is ill, my lovely niece is here from Japan.
I'm not going to be too wordy in this post; I'm catching up with a few outfits from the week and posting just a few photos of my niece and family.

Curls and a silk scarf today; Scarf, Adrienne Vittadini, Curls by my wonderful new stylist Olivia (Platinum Clips)

I really wanted to wear these boots (Nine&Co) today, but I thought it might be just a bit too warm....

but I ended up wearing these (Nine West) shoes...

I had fun kicking my feet up...

They're super comfy.  Patterned tights by Target

The price of a free photographer is ...
taking actions shots of him!

Tiffany is here! My precious family...

My brother, Jeff and his daughter, Tiffany

My shy niece....

This is why I rarely wear pants....
My niece lives in Okinawa.  She speaks very little English, but she's learning.  She's here for a two week visit.
What I wore to work on Wednesday

Another reason I don't wear pants often!  I think the shirt would have been more flattering untucked.  Silk Allison Taylor blouse, $3.00 at church resale.

this photo of blogger Jane @ the small fabric of my life  I had to post my twin outfit.

Infinity scarf; The Limited, tied as a standard scarf.

This is my sister-in-law Tram (pronounced Tram) with my grandson Brady.  Tram is not Tiffany's mother, but she loves her and is a great stepmom

I wasn't going to post Tuesday's work/school photo given the bathroom backdrop, but when I saw Jane's outfit here I had to post the near twin!

Thank you, everyone, for putting up with my indulgent batch of photos.  I'm playing a little catch up.  It's been quite a week.

Tomorrow,  I will pick up Tiffany and we will have lunch and then she will accompany me to my dance lesson.  I'm looking forward to spending time with her.

I'll leave you with a bit of humor....this is me; on a daily basis.  At least I can laugh about it ;)

  4. Those nine and co boots are really stunning, they look so sleek and chic! (Which seems to be hard to find in the high-heeled boots, I've been having trouble finding a pair that doesn't look too dated or too hooker-ish!) The photos of your family are so sweet, I love the action shots of your little photographer! :)

And I love the work/school bathroom outfit photo!

    1. Thanks Katie,

I found those boots at J.C. Penney. I'm not sure if you have one where you live, but you may try the catalog. I wish they were smooth leather instead of suede, but I still like them.

    1. Lorena, I didn't know how to wear scarves in my hair until about 4 months ago; my sister-in-law was wearing one and it looked great and told me how to tie it.

If you have an oblong scarf it will work better, but you could do it with a square on if its large and not bulky. You may need to fold the scarf lengthwise to make it narrower. Holding each end of the scarf in your hands, you place the center of the scarf underneath your hair in the back. Wrap each end around to the front and then cross each end of the scarf, then twist each end back around and bring to the back to tie.

  10. Wow, you do have a lot going on! I will wait to bug you to exercise. Lovely family, I hope your mom feels better soon!

And you look great... but I am a big fan of untucked shirts on us hippy girls. Gorgeous top, though!
