Friday Night=Fun Night

I'm very tired.  I had lessons with Marcel today to prepare for the upcoming showcase, then I went to the dance party at night.  I danced non-stop all day.

I'm just beat.  this is what I wore to my lesson; my outfit is all thrifted.

This is the velvet jacket I mentioned in an earlier post.  I love it.  Goodwill; $5.00!   I'm going to wear this all the time!!!

I adore this Lia Sophia necklace.  The top is by Fashion Bug.  I really don't wear their clothing at all...but the rosettes at the top were were calling my name.

Thrifted velvet scart; ummmm, it cost more than the jacket!

I adore black and cream.  This is a very simple outfit and its not spectacular or special but I felt comfortable and confident.

Pretty Rosettes.

To dance tonight; I wore another black dress; this one was thrifted for $5.00 at the Goodwill store.  I has an asymmetrical hemline which is just fun to dance in.

Another Lia Sophia Gotham necklace...sigh.

My pal Karen and I hanging out after the party.

David, one of the guys from the GD studio.  David is a student at Ball State University and the ballroom coach for the BSU competition team.  David is a a great sport as we (Karen and I) made sure we demanded all of his dance floor time..  Thanks to David for being such a good sport.  David's going to go pro someday and I'm proud to say that I know this young man.  He's an excellent dance and just a nice young man.  He's also getting his Master's degree in Chemistry.   This kid is on the ball.

A good time was had by all, and now my cozy bed awaits me................

  2. I love the blouse with the rosettes and those shoes..I want them:) I think it's great that you can find stylish shoes that you can also dance in! I was at a department store on Friday (no not getting up at 5am just happened to be there at 2p lol) and I was looking at the shoe clearance rack and I just couldn't believe the size of heels on some of the shoes. There is no way pointing heels this size could be comfortable lol. Your necklace looks almost like a locket:) You should be wearing skirts a lot more often with those nice dancer legs:)) We just got Just Dance 4, it's so fun. We've had a Wii for years but never got a Just Dance game. I missed out:)

    1. Joanna...Just Dance is so much fun, isn't it? I enjoy it but I'm not that good!

I agree with you about the high and pointy shoes. I love a good high heel and I wear them nearly every day, but I don't wear the sky high heels! Three inches is about max for me! Maybe 3.5 but no more than that.

  3. What a cute top! And even if the scarf did cost more than the jacket, it was well worth it... such a lovely butterfly!

Your dancing outfit is so glam... especially the necklace and shoes *sigh*

    1. Thank you! I love that I can find pretty dresses for dancing at thrift shops; dancing works up a sweat and I don't worry about ruining a dress.

I saw the top in the window at "that store" and had to have it; it was just so pretty.

Hope your hubby is doing better!

  4. You have such an impeccable eye for fashion and outfit construction, dear Lisa. Everything about this ensemble is terrific, but I'me especially fond of the rosettes on your top, as I sometimes work with similar ones when paper crafting. :)

    1. Jessica.....I just fell for the Rosettes. Who can resist ivory roses?

I would love to hear sometime about your paper crafting. Thats one of those hobbies I wish I had time for. I want to get back into some of the crafty things I used to do and get to know my seeing machine again some day soon. When I went back to school to get my Master's degree...all those things fell to the wayside.

I love paper. Cards, prints, fancy journals...you name it I love it.

  5. Very cute top - I love the rosettes too! Do I spot some butterflies on your scarf, if yes, I love it! I have a butterfly scarf too, which I call my lucky scarf as I have worn in at many important talks and when I defended my thesis! Have a great weekend!

Did you know Fashion Bug is going out of business? A company bought them and now they are liquidating.

    1. I did know. I didn't know another company bought them, though. I'm planning on going in and trying to purchase some of the jewelry stands they have to use for my Lia Sophia business.
