The breezy beautiful weather continues to spoil me.
Can we keep it like this indefinitely? I know some of my fellow bloggers would not be happy with me if I could influence the weather in this direction; some of you are summer girls! Wink, Wink, you know who you are! ;)

I've had this oversized sweater for about 12 years! It's "ramie" which was very popular at the time and it lasts and lasts! Its not the most figure flattering piece, but I love it's simplicity and coziness. It makes me feel so nostalgic for football games and halloween nights past. Maybe I can get another 10 years of wear and memories out of it, eh?
I've been loving the scarf/headwrap look lately.....

My feet are blissfully happy in these plain but verrrryyyy comfy shoes by Nine West.
Ok, so this curl has nothing to do with my outfit, except I am quite happy with it's corkscrew appearance. It just sort of curled this way on it's own. How I wish every curl would do this every day...with no effort.
My outfit today, which I actually loved wearing but did not love in the photograph. First of all, I forgot to arrange the 'cowl' neckline and it just kind of hangs and droops very sadly.

This is what the neckline is supposed to look like! Well, kind of, its still kind of skewed, but honestly, there is always something a little skewed about my outfits....and I'm OK with that!!!Mondays are tough days and I am beat. Dance lesson today on my break and let me tell you, Marcel kicked my butt today. I suppose that's good considering comp is in about 3 weeks...oh geez......
Talk about about being unprepared!

Love both outfits! The first is cozy and sweat (you look like you should curl up in front of a roaring fire with a yummy mug of hot chocolate), the second feminine, beautiful, and completely cute.

Brett, I have been looking for another one too....a just in case extra. I have this one so long and I swear its so sturdy its made of iron. Hard to find them these days, isn't it?
DeleteThat's a great sweater. I bought one similar from the Gap recently...fell in love with it until it immediately started to pill! So mad about that. I am guessing that your ramie sweater has not done that. Hold on to that sweater! Ramie is hard to find.
ReplyDeleteDo you find that your scarf falls out of your hair or moves around? I have that problem so I stopped trying to wear a scarf in my hair. Am wondering if you have a method of keeping it in place.

I'm very happy that I didn't give this sweater away...at one point I considered it because tis so oversized, but then I decided to keep it...whew. I would be mad too about the Gap sweater. I'm very lucky that this one has not pilled at all...and its taken some abuse.
Deletei don't have the problem of slipping and moving if I wear a silk scarf and not a polyester one. i do put two bobby pins at the side though, behind my ear.
You look fantastic in a head band, you should wear them more often:))

I am working on some graduate papers and have been sitting on my butt! It's hard to fit it in sometimes with the work school/demands isn't' it? Well, I plan to do some yoga or just something in front of the TV tonight while I watch my recorded Dancing with the Stars!

I really love this big sweater, there's just something so wonderful about a big, chunky sweater that you can just toss on over your jeans. (And it really showcases your lovely pendant.) That's amazing that it has held up for 12 years, that's really a testament to the quality!

ReplyDeleteThank You Shybiker, I do like the cowl. It just seems a little long and droopy in this picture. About halfway through the day I pulled it out and over my shoulders and I loved it that way, but didn't get a picture! My photographer (my son) was in school!
