Boots, 9 West ( I love them); Top, thrifted; skirt, dress barn; necklace....three guess.... |
I'll keep this post short and sweet and spare you my verbose ramblings for today!
The outfit on my left was perfect for a dance practice; I have a showcase coming up in a week and a day and I don't even have all of my choreography yet! Marcel must have a lot of confidence to push things this close to the deadline....I hope it get it right.
Its a great dance and I have a super cool edgy/urban/industrial look planned. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you!
This outfit doesn't look as great in photos as it felt. Consignment shop sweater, thrifted Dress Barn skirt, turtle neck, Ralph Lauren during my bad girl credit card days.

As you can see I was a bit nautical today. I'm channeling spring...and the nautical inspired outfit fit right in with todays 40 something 'warm front'.
C'mon Spring!
I'm curious to see this edgy/urban/industrial outfit you have planned for dancing in!
ReplyDeleteLove the first outfit and how you've belted the top - shows off your hourglass figure!
Thank you for the compliment. I'm looking forward to wearing the showcase outfit!
Delete*sigh* Right? I'm so ready for summer, its nice that it's finally getting warmer and that the sun is staying up longer but I cant wait for 70 degree days. Soon, hopefully!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing this dance look you mentioned, it sounds really exciting! And wow, good luck on the upcoming showcase! I always enjoy hearing about your dancing, it's so exciting to me and I can really tell how much you love it, you just glow in your dance photographs.
Thank you Katie. I'm looking forward to the showcase too...but its a week from tomorrow and I haven't been given all of my choreography yet....Yikes!
DeleteI wish spring would hurry up and get here too. Excited to hear about your dance too. You piqued my interest with the cool and edgy. Have a great weekend! Heather
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for spring!
DeleteBoth outfits are nice. And I've experienced your point about how an outfit can look better/worse in real life than in photos. Not sure why that happens. Some of my best outfit-posts were of clothes almost unwearable in person.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.....mirrors don't always tell the whole story!
DeletePleated skirts look great on you. You are great at making a black and white combination outfit:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanna....black and white is my best color palette. I just love it!
DeleteStill cold here but lovely and sunny today.
ReplyDeleteIt was cold here today too, but it is getting sunnier...are you ready for spring?
DeleteThe pleated skirt look is so cute! You are a master at black-and-white combinations! Yes, indeed very cute details on the Clarks, and I suppose they are pretty comfortable too, a true win-win situation! No, it is not spring yet, but I have decided that anyway it is warm enough for my green coat now and time for a long vacation for my black! Happy Easter Lisa!
ReplyDeleteOh good...I'm glad you get to wear your green coat! It will certainly be a mood lifter!
DeleteThe Clarks are super comfortable...almost like wearing no shoes at all!
Such a cute outfit Lisa. I really love that sweater.
ReplyDeleteThank you LV!
DeleteSpring hemmed and hawed over whether or not to really start here throughout almost all of March (it was starting to look like it was here mid-month, then bam!, snow and hail again!), but today finally (I hope!) put winter to rest once and for all, as the temps soared to an unseasonably high +25C (making for one of the most beautiful early spring days I've ever experienced).
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! Love a cardi layered over a turtleneck. I'll need to remember to give that a spin when autumn rolls around again.
Wishing you a gorgeous start of April, dear Lisa!
♥ Jessica
Thank you Jessica. Spring has been a little testy here too in the Midwest. We had a gorgeous day today...but tonight the wind is whipping!
DeleteThank you for the compliment. I love that little thrifted cardigan.
