I recently found TWO adorable black ruffle hem skirts at a consignment store (yes, on my shopping ban binge on the 7th day of the month). One was velvet and the other a rayon/knit blend. I love them. Playing on Polyvore today, I configured many different looks for these skirts.....I can't wait to play with them!
I have curves. I've struggled to dress my body to flatter my pear shape. I've finally learned to work with my dangerous curves. I finally accept that this is MY shape; I've made peace with my body. I encourage other pear shaped ladies to accept and love their shape; it is a beautiful, classic womanly shape. I'm also a ballroom dance lover. I'll share what I've learned about dressing for dance, competition, ballroom glitter, sparkle and glamour.

Love the ruffle / pleated hem skirt. I own one. I like how you've styled these. Thanks for visiting my blog
ReplyDeleteI hope you have lots of fun styling your ruffle skirt!
DeleteI would love to see them with the denim shirt.
ReplyDeleteI am on the lookout for a denim shirt! I think its going to look very cute!
DeleteThat is one of my favourite skirt silhouettes ever - it's just so flattering, especially on hourglass figures (like you and me, lucky us!). I love the remixing you've done! Have fun playing with them!
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I broke the ban, but even taking 3 weeks off felt pretty good.
I think it is a universally flattering skirt style. I'm very happy that I found them! I'm going to get plenty of use!
DeleteI broke my ban too...but I'm back on.
Oh, I have a ruffled hem skirt that's just been sitting in my closet because I couldn't figure out how to wear it and now you've posted this! So many great outfits and the best part is, I have most of these items already! Thank you, this is just so helpful! (I love that striped cardigan with the skirt, so cute!)

I'm going to have fun with this skirt!
DeleteA great black skirt really is like a blank canvass, isn't it? Ruffles are so sweetly wonderfully - feminine, a little alluring, so perfect for a gorgeous dancer like you, dear Lisa. Can't wait to see how you style your new skirts!
