I have curves. I've struggled to dress my body to flatter my pear shape. I've finally learned to work with my dangerous curves. I finally accept that this is MY shape; I've made peace with my body. I encourage other pear shaped ladies to accept and love their shape; it is a beautiful, classic womanly shape.
I'm also a ballroom dance lover. I'll share what I've learned about dressing for dance, competition, ballroom glitter, sparkle and glamour.
Hello, I saw that you left a comment about liking to cover the legs and I wanted to say I AGREE! I wear stockings in every post and feel naked without them! The habit of not wearing stockings is actually NEW in America, and I can remember that 10 years ago more women wore them. The trend is to go bare legged now, even in the WINTER, which makes no sense to me. Anyway, just wanted to connect, and say hello! Rawkul StyleMentor.US
I'm so glad to read that someone else feels the same way that I do. I will admit that in the summer, when it's scorching hot, I'm just running errands and I'm wearing sandals, I don't wear them. It took me a long time to get up the nerve to do that. Any other time, I wear either stockings, tights or fishnets. The fishnets are primarily for dance. I would never dream of wearing a dress to work without without hose. I would never wear a dress without hose to go out to dinner, for a job interview or to go anywhere other than errand running or hanging around the house. I would love to see the practice of wearing stockings come back into vogue. It looks more finished, feels more professional, keeps legs warm in air conditioning, keeps your legs from touching gross stuff and from sticking to vinyl seats in restaurants! Let's start a revolution!
What a rich looking dress - the colour, the cut, everything.
ReplyDeleteI know...it's a marvelous dress. I think it's a color that isn't worn often. I adore the way the dress is cut across the waist.

ReplyDeleteYay Team Pantyhose! I won't get the dress...way out of my price range. But, as always, I look for thrifted substitutes!
